I won't go into the political side of this, and this may be a bit off-topic, but here's something GREAT you can do for soldiers that are currently in Iraq, Afghanistan, or elsewhere... Do you work with someone who is deployed right now? Visit with their team, and bring your movie camera (or, in my case, my Sony M1). Ask his team members to say hello, tell him what's been going on, and that they miss him. Take short clips--less than 30 seconds. Then walk around work and take some pictures... for me, our campus is 20-something buildings, so there's all kinds of neat things to take pictures of that will make a soldier remember home-- the cafeteria, maybe the smoking area ;) etc. Then put all that footage on a DVD, find out their mailing address, and mail it to them. I guarantee they will cry. I have done it for two guys who work for my company, neither of which I had even ever met in person, and they both contacted me when they came home, and said how thankful they were. Suz [View]

Randolfe -- Aww--you're so cute--thank you for mentioning me. :) Here's some more info: pmachine.com offers its free software, pmachine. It also offers Expression Engine, which is a pay-for software, but which offers many more options for modification. blogger.com is a great resource for those who want simple blogging... but for those who want more power (ah ah! POWAH!) over their blogging, more modifications and such, PM and EE are great tools to use, and I vouch for them both all the time. -- Susan --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, Randolfe Wicker <rhwicker@o...> wrote: > We all know about vlogs having feeds that you subscribe to and how one vlogger will link to other vlogs they think are especially good. Bohus-- That was excellent! How exciting! I've subscribed to your RSS feed... your feedburner should say "1" pretty soon! - How did you learn how to do such good narrations? I'm sure everyone has seen the HP digital photography commercials ( http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/hpads/you/photography/index.html -- my favorite is the original "francois" one--scroll to the bottom), and I'm curious if anyone has attempted anything even remotely similar to this... ...if not, it would be an EXCELLENT challenge! If you feel so inclined to create a wonderful piece of work, post a link to it here! I don't think I have enough talent personally to be able to figure it out... ;) --Suz [View]

You said you have a PC. Do you have a DVD burner? Did it come with software? Many DVD burners come with Roxio or Pinnacle. Also, there is "Windows Movie Maker," which comes with Windows... - Start - Programs - Accessories - Windows Movie Maker. - Open (import) your movie. - Draaag it down to the filmstrip at the bottom of the screen. - Tools - Titles and Credits. - Title on the selected clip. - Click on change the title animation. - Scroll up and find "subtitle". - Edit the subtitle text, font, color, etc. Hope this helps! :) Susan --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, "mertulas81" <mertulas81@y...> wrote: > Hi guys, my name is Mert and I am a new videoblogger, I live in San > Jose, CA right now but my hometown is Istanbul, TURKEY. > > Well the problem is I have videos in turkish language and videos in > english as well and I want to put subtitles on them so all my friends > (both turkish and foreigners) can understand.
