Fascinating

Well I must say that I'm finding the concept of vlogging quite fascinating! So much so that I've taken to my compulsive ways and begun by dumping my Sony TRV900 video camera that I'm not using and have purchased an iSight and a Fisher FVD-C1 which records 30 minutes of video MPEG-4 to an SD disk. The quality is fine for web work. Some artifacts. Dumping straight to computer without having to deal with i/o tape concerns and the portabiltiy of the Fisher and iSight make for an interesting experience. My starting point: http://nnon.typepad.com/nnontv/ Shannon [View]

I agree. The Fisher is pricey. The other thing is it handles like a pistol and could possibly be mistaken for one given the situation. I'll have to be careful. Editing is mostly through Quicktime Pro at the moment (cut/paste), sometimes using DSP Quatro to adjust audio seperately, and then running the final piece through Cleaner for adjustments. I'm sort of experimenting with approaches at the moment regarding editing. Eventually I'll set it all to run in Final Cut as I can view clips more easily and also not have to deal with the way iMovie handles some of the source material. I use Max/Jitter a lot for all the digital efx work, more of the efx stuff here http://nnon.tv/ I'm in sketch mode so to speak with the video blogging, trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. Living with my own material for awhile. Its very public. I'm sure I'll embarrass myself. Glad you like what I've done so far. Your coffe piece is quite inspirational.
