check it out. http://videoblogging.info This is our website to grow. First, all thanks to Andreas(solitude.dk) who built this site while on vacation with his girlfriend in america. he put up with my rambling emails and just did the work. the site was his original idea and he pulled it through. so the site is a place for us to document the work we do in this discussion group. It'll be a good place to send new people who are just learning how to videoblog. we dont have to explain things over and over again. so if you want to add something...some new info or process..just write it up easy to read. let me give you a quick tour. we are listing videobloggers: http://www.videoblogging.info/bloggers/ if you want to be added, send a link to your videoblog. plus a one sentence description. this is very important to build a community. we also showing people new videos that get made. Andreas came up with an ingenious scheme: http://www.videoblogging.info/ping/ when you post a video, just send us a trackback ping. this lets the site know you have a new video. i asked some of you to write articles for the site: http://www.videoblogging.info/articles/ write something...we're defining(in a good way) what the game is so far. also we're highlighting different projects which is very specific achievement of our group here. http://www.videoblogging.info/projects/ Peter is soon going to be videoblogging his 6 week trip through India. very very... I'm still on my vacation, currently checking in from a friend-of-a-friend's apartment in Chicago. I've got some quick comments though. > we also showing people new videos that get made. > Andreas came up with an ingenious scheme: > http://www.videoblogging.info/ping/ > when you post a video, just send us a trackback ping. > this lets the site know you have a new video. If you have any questions at all about sending these pings just send me an email. The pings are not the optimal solution, but it'll have to work until I get back on a regular schedule in Denmark. What we'd like to have is a list of links to as many video entries as possible. Forcing people to tell us when their site is updated is not the best solution (because people tend to forget). What we'll try to do is to make this process automatic so that the bloggers just have to post their entries and the list will be updated without them having to do anything. So that's my job when I back from vacation. - Andreas -- Personal: <http://www.solitude.dk> File Thingie - PHP File Manager <http://www.solitude.dk/filethingie/> [View]

>> we also showing people new videos that get made. >> Andreas came up with an ingenious scheme: >> http://www.videoblogging.info/ping/ >> when you post a video, just send us a trackback ping. >> this lets the site know you have a new video. And this is me being annoyed. It turns out I had a "small" bug in the thing that record the pings. On the surface it didn't look that serious because it looked like the thing just sent off an unknown reply. In reality it didn't record any pings at all. Stupid late-night programming. Anyway, it should be working now. Pings can be sent to: <http://videoblogging.info/ping/> Instructions for Typepad, Wordpress and Moveable Type are at: <http://videoblogging.info/videos/instructions.php> And finally, if your blogging system doesn't support TrackBacks, or if you don't use a blogging system you can send updates directly from the site. It's as easy as filling out a form: <http://videoblogging.info/videos/send-tb.php> If someone could test that for me I'd be gratefull. I'm still on vacation and away from the computer and I'm just trying to get this stuff online as fast as possible. - Andreas -- Personal: <http://www.solitude.dk> File Thingie - PHP File Manager <http://www.solitude.dk/filethingie/> [View]

Sweet. :o) Don't add old movies, just add new ones as you post them. The list only contains the 50 newest movies anyway, so old movies will get pushed off the list fast. - Andreas -- Personal: <http://www.solitude.dk> File Thingie - PHP File Manager <http://www.solitude.dk/filethingie/> [View]
