Posted a little later than I wanted it to be, but I got a little carried away with iMovie. Tomorrow will be much rougher and centered around work stuff. There's nothing feel good about that I don't think. Heh. http://eric.blognews.com/blog/_archives/2004/6/21/92130.html Eric [View]

Happy Fathers Day! Nice job with the video. You got a nice shot with the reflection of the sun in the cup of water. --Steve On Jun 21, 2004, at 6:19 AM, Eric Rice wrote: > Posted a little later than I wanted it to be, but I got a little > carried away with iMovie. > Tomorrow will be much rougher and centered around work stuff. > Happy Fathers Day! Man, haven't they standardized this yet. Father's Day was June 5th here. :o) Aaaanway, I have been very impressed with the videos posted so far. I'll get around to writing down my thoughts on different types of video entries (or genres if you like that word as much as I do). I'll post them here or on my blog or on the wiki either tonight or tomorrow. If I can figure out how to edit wiki pages of course.. By the way, we have internet based blogradio in Denmark now (Blogradio.dk). It's just like any other radio show only the topic is blogs. Maybe something similar can be done with video. Bandwidth being of course a showstopper when it comes to tv-like shows. But maybe vox-pop type blurps are feasible in population dense areas. I'm thinking along the lines of "What's your opinion on anonymity online?" and then interview five different people. It's not necessarily a *good* idea, but it's an idea that popped into my head while listening to the lastest Blogradio.dk show. :o) [View]

Somehow I feel these things are easier on Macs. I put up my first attempt at: <http://www.solitude. dk/archives/2004_06.php#t20040621-20:05> It's only available as a WMV file as I haven't figured out how you make a QuickTime file without having to spend $700 on Adobe software. Oh, and my microphone is broken! What's up with that. It's just been lying around in a drawer for four years and the day I need it I find out it's broken. Stupid piece of... - Andreas [View]

Day 2 of videoblog week

Here's my 2nd entry for videoblog week. http://momentshowing.typepad.com/momentshowing/ Peter and I talked about how its easier for us to post because we know we have at least a small audience. i found a guy, Mike Sloan, who has already been posting a video a day for like 2 years!! I invited him to our group. I want to know how he stores all his files and what his workflow is for videoblogging. Ive been learning about Bit Torrent. It seems to be used by people sharing copies of pirated movies or DAT recordings of concerts. Everything good quality. http://www.v2v.cc/ Here's a link to a group that lets you upload video with Bit Torrent. I believe that it's personal blogs that will use video better. Blogs put the video in the context I need. Why would I put up some personal video about my life on a huge shared website? By the way, i really liked Eric's video last night. I would have never known that guy just by reading his posts. -- Jay Dedman Manhattan Neighborhood Network 537 West 59th (between 10th and 11th Ave) NY NY 10019 http://www.mnn.org 212 757 2670 [View]
