Not The Amazing Race

This morning I tried out a few different methods of posting a new video, Not the Amazing Race. My wife and I went for a hike at hike at the Blue Hills Reservation located just outside of Boston. We're always talking about how we'd make a great team on the Amzing Race TV show, so for this hike we imagined ourselves in competition in a race to get to the top first. Made the hike a lot of fun. You should see us when we're driving. ;-) PictureM First I tried PictureM. For this video I changed my size to 120x90, that made it 2.2 MB I'm getting used to their blogging format, which has a different interface than my other blogging tools, so it took a while to get it done. My test PictureM blog is at: http://stevegarfield.picturem.com/ And my new post is here: http://stevegarfield.picturem.com/default? archive=true&select=BlogSpace%2Fdefault%2Frace_120X90.mov Kind of a long URL. vBlog Next I uploaded my video to my test vBlog at vSpan, http://vspan.blogspot.com It's size at 320 x 240 made it 4.7 MB Direct link: http://vspan.blogspot.com/2004/08/not-amazing-race.html mp4 and swf I also made an mp4 file that's 5.1 MB and a swf that's 4.7 MB. Later on I'll try to post those. --Steve --------- [ Web Sites ] --------- Steve Garfield Video Production http://stevegarfield.com Video Blog http://stevegarfield.blogs.com/videoblog/ Weblog: Off On A Tangent http://offonatangent.blogspot.com/ [View]

It took under an hour to edit. Each of the scenes was an avi clip from my Canon S400 digital camera that allows you to take movies took. Kinda like the ease of use of your video camera phone. What's so great about this is that there isn't any log and capture time to get it off of a video tape. If I had to do that then it would have taken longer. So all the clips were in the order I needed them. I used a few as cut aways. The music was from a Free Play music library I have. Thanks for watching, --Steve BTW: I figured out that I could just copy the code from the vBlog post over on my vSpan blog and then put the same post on my regular weblog: http://offonatangent.blogspot.com/ Should have been intuitive. On that post I put up an out take of me running Jerry Lewis style. I'd meant to get that into the video too but missed it. http://homepage.mac.com/stevegarfield/ooat/race_outtake.mov I'd meant to get that into the video too but missed it somehow. To use up the remaining bandwidth allotment for august, I've put up all the old vidblogs in the archives. They'll be up only for the last two days of august, or as soon as we reach our limit. Chris Weagel [View]
