I found that on http://multimedia-tv-mesaredonda.cubasi.cu/# The "Mesaredonda" is the round table Mr. Castro was speaking at. [View]

This is huge. I wonder how the mainstream media will cover this tomorrow. http://www.freespeeches.net/wp/index.php/index.php?p=27 Has anyone seen this footage previous to today? My dad said he recalls this being brought up during the Gore v. Bush campaign... but I thought this was breaking news (it was released 2 hours ago by "Texans for Truth") [View]

Welcome. Technical stuff: What kind of software video editors do you use? For the music video with the girl in red for example. Very astonishing quality... did you use professional equipment for that one? What do you shoot with? I have a Sony MiniDV DCR-TRV50 (nothing on my website freespeeches.net was filmed by me, but I plan on recording stuff for it in the coming months) [View]

If you aren't planning on voting, or know anyone who isn't planning on voting this November 2nd, please visit this site I have just compiled: http://www.freespeeches.net/pages/F911.html On that page, there's a selection of clips from Michael Moore's documentary 9/11. He brings up many important issues in that film. I also discovered subliminal advertising in a US Army ad, which I illustrate there. This election pertains to some serious shit... make sure you encourage everyone you know to go out to the polls and not to leave until their vote is recorded. I encourage you to foward that link to your family and friends too... especially if they've said they won't vote. Thank you. -Eric Botticelli http://freespeeches.net [View]

It's that discussion I wouldn't like here. Oh ok, I'm new here... I just thought it was important that people see what F911 implies about Mr. Bush and his administration before they go vote for him. The political discussion can be done on my site... I have a commenting feature for that. I'm guessing I shouldn't have brought up here the aspect of these videos' imminent political import? Is that what triggered you? [View]

Looking for Video Archives

Does anyone know if there exists an online archive of the Senate proceedings? CSPAN doesn't really keep the videos on their site very long. Sad if they've disappeared into corporate media archives where you'd have to pay to retrieve them. I'm specifically looking for Senator Byrd's speeches. >I'd say it crosses the "fine" line. Yeah, I appologize for making such an obvious political statement... I'll step lighter in that regard in the future. [View]

META refresh tag

I noticed on drudgereport.com the meta refresh reloads every 4 minutes. It also refreshes to the location the user was viewing; it doesn't jump to the top. Does anyone know how to get the meta refresh tag to work in this manner? I put it in my code but it refreshes to the top of the page, which I don't want it to do, as it would interrupt whatever the user was reading/viewing. [View]

Tenet yesterday called for new security measures to guard against attacks on the United States that use the Internet, which he called "a potential Achilles' heel." "I know that these actions will be controversial in this age when we still think the Internet is a free and open society with no control or accountability," he told an information-technology security conference in Washington, "but ultimately the Wild West must give way to governance and control." The former CIA director said telecommunications -- and specifically the Internet -- are a back door through which terrorists and other enemies of the United States could attack the country, even though great strides have been made in securing the physical infrastructure. The Internet "represents a potential Achilles' heel for our financial stability and physical security if the networks we are creating are not protected," Mr. Tenet said. He said known adversaries, including "intelligence services, military organizations and non-state actors," are researching information attacks against the United States. Within the federal government, the Department of Homeland Security has the lead role in protecting the Internet from terrorism. But the department's head of cyber-security recently quit amid reports that he had clashed with his superiors. Mr.... [View]

Once it starts making money (think Dean) for people, people who have money and power will attempt to use it to their advantage... maximize profits at most costs. It happened to radio, the newspaper, and the television. Anyone who cares about the internet must prepare for a never ceasing fight to keep it free. Here's the url to add my RSS to "MyYahoo:" http://add.my.yahoo.com/content?url=http%3A//www.freespeeches.net/wp/wp-rss2.php When I do that, it says "We have run into a temporary problem retrieving your page, please try again later.()" It's been saying that all day. I'm assuming its my RSS code malfunctioning. My RSS 2.0 is located at: http://www.freespeeches.net/wp/wp-rss2.php I have it set to display the 3 most recent posts currently, for debugging's sake. I may change it to 1 to make this even simpler for myself. You'll notice I don't have a <CONTENT> section. This is because every post starts off with a java applet, and for now I don't want that to show up on the feed. Could this be what's causing the error? Here's the code for the .php file: <?php if (!isset($feed)) { $blog = 1; $doing_rss = 1; require('wp-blog-header.php'); } $more = 1; $charset = get_settings('blog_charset'); if (!$charset) $charset = 'UTF-8'; header('Content-type: text/xml', true); ?> <?php echo '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="' . $charset .
