You can do this now, but the trick is not to use the 'comments' feature on weblogs, but to use the trackbacks and pingback feature. These are a whole lot more interesting than comment fields anyway. :o) Trackbacks and pingbacks is a simple message of letting someone know that you have posted on your weblog with a reference to someone else's post. For example when Rob posted his first sign language post I thought it was interesting so I created a post about it on my own weblog. When I posted my own blog I also sent a message to Rob's server saying 'hey, I'm talking about you'. Rob's server then put up a link to my entry along with an excerpt. You can see it by going to Rob's entry at <http://www.robwilks.com/blog/archive/000081.html> and clicking the link named 'Trackbacks'. If I had decided to make a video as my own blog entry you would effectively have made a vcomment. That's the way to do it. It's simple and it works for any media - most weblog systems should actually send trackbacks automatically these days. - Andreas -- Personal: <http://www.solitude.dk> File Thingie - PHP File Manager <http://www.solitude.dk/filethingie/>
