Does Premiere require that you use AVI files then? I'm assuming you are on a PC. Not on a Mac. My camera shoots the same way as yours. MPEG4. I was able to get Final Cut Pro to work with the video portion of the source material but not with the audio portion....at least not yet. So FCP has to render the audio before I can drop it in the timeline which is very quick. Can you export as DV-NTSC? For Premiere?
