Very much so. To the aggregator the entry would look like a text entry. I'm battling the exact same problem for video comments, because people will link to/from their HTML file, but there's actually only video content in that HTML file. The difference is that it's often easier to you and me to fix the HTML (by placing a <link>-element on the page) than it is to change the RSS feed. RSS feeds are usually produced automagically by the content management system and the user often has no influence on how the feed looks at all. PS. Go to bed.
