I'm trying to figure out how to optimize video's while travelling, and the nicest option I can think of is doing it serverside. Other ideas include taking my own software on the road, but I won't be carrying a computer and I doubt internet cafe's will let me install software... Peter I use QT on laptop and save to mpeg4. from memory Cleaner lets you set up a watch folder but problem with that is you hve to upload *enormous* files to be auto compressed which is impossible without *huge* bandwidth. i don't understand your model given this? a large file would need to be placed on a server to be server side compressed so what are you gaining? or i might have misunderstood. (with DVT from the flight home, now a dead hard drive, i'm rather addled just now...) cheers adrian miles
