What I usually find are rather interstitial presentations t= hat are not part of the main stream experience. Graphics in a blog as well = as video presentation in a blog would have to be of interest to some of the= Siggraph digerati as would be ideas about compression and fast transfers a= nd servers and all that stuff and so on as most digital artists I know want= to break out of the building and work from home. Not possibly obvious righ= t away but maybe popping up here and there. I don=B9t think its worth the f= light this year. I=B9ll be checking things out and will try and post a repo= rt. Its supposed to be in L.A. Again next year. At the same time it will b= e hard to cover much of it in a day as I=B9m pretty much interested in the = arts related stuff. I also usually do NAB (National Association of Broadcas= ters) in Las Vegas every year but opted to do the Society for Photographic = Education conference instead and will do the same next year. Its also netwo= rking stuff that occurs as well. I know people here and there from the film= industry who have gone into web development and they always seem to be at = these things. Operations like http://zentropypartners.com/index_flash.html = will definitely stick faces at the show. Save the flight for something els= e. I=B9ll vlog if they don=B9t take my camera away. .s On 8/4/04 11:17 P= M, "M.
